Anyone Who Has Moved From Texas To New York City?

hoow did you adjust to the lifestyle of the city economically? was it hard to save money and can people who make around 50k afford a good but not fancy neighborhood in Queens or Brooklyn? Is it a better, less boring place than Dallas, or Houston or is it a living hell?

NYC is the best city in the world! Its noting like Texas. You can rent a nice studio or 1 bedroom in Queens or Brooklyn for $1000-$1500. You can have a comfortable lifestyle in Texas for 50k, but in NYC you have to sacrifice a lot. Sure you don’t need a car and its expenses, but you have to pay about %11 in State and City taxes. NYC won’t be a living hell, but it won’t be as nice as of what you can get in Texas. If you are into cultures and travelling overseas, then NYC is the best place to be. You will NEVER get bored in NYC, but you will in Texas!
