Dallas Stars Tickets

The Dallas Stars were founded far away from Dallas, Texas. Walther Bush was one of the owners who purchased one of National Hockey League’s original six extension franchises in 1967 that resulted in Minnesotans North Stars. It was 1976-68 season when North Stars started playing and called the Metropolitan Sports Arena in Bloomington home. Initially team was playing good and had successes made NHL contests for four initial years. Stars kept growing in 1970s, and players of Cleveland Barons were attracted in 1978. They played their first Stanley Cup contest and lost against Islanders in 1981. North Start was playing matches on a regular basis for the rest of the eighties when Bobby Smith, Neal Broten and Dino Ciccareli played solidly.
Injuries and changes were very common for North Stars in late 1980s. The missed NHL contests in 1986-88 season but came back with a come back from Dave Gagner and Mike Gartner. Stars fans got a sight of the man who would be a franchise player in Minnesota and Dallas.
Gordon and George, the team owners wished to sell the team for minimum $ 50 million or to shift the team to San Jose. Norman Green and Howard Baldwin paid for the team and they didn’t move. San chose some players from North Stars system for their new team Sharks. They had some changes in the front office, Bob Gainey moved back as a head coach, and Bob Clarke became the General Manager.
 Minnesota franchise moved in 1993 as monetary problems were never addressed. Stars shifted to south to play for a very first Texas based NHL team that was called Dallas Home. They played against St Louis Blues in first round of Stanley Cup and won in their first season in Dallas but lost against Vancouver Canucks. Team was bought by media mogul Tom Hicks after the shutout reduced 1994-95 season.
The Stars performed better in 1996-97 season by 38 more points from their gloomy performance last year. Stars brought Ed Belfour and other experienced players to their team to be a strong side. In 1997-98 they took the President’s trophy with maximum regular season points.
Stars kept on trying to make their team strong. Brett Hull was one of the most productive goal scorers in NHL history was hired by Stars. He proved to be beneficial as Stars made it to the Stanley Cup finals in 1999 season in his presence. They played against Dominik Hasek and Buffalo Sabers. Brett Hull scored a contentious goal for their very first Stanley Cup. In coming years Hull, Belfour and Hatcher left and Bill Guerin and gave goalie Marty Turco were brought in the squad. Constant guidance with experience like Mike Modano made them a premier NHL team.
