Best Family Activites in Dallas

Whether you are looking for a fun-filled destination or a great educational establishment, the city of Dallas has a wide range of destinations for the entire family. I especially enjoyed the various museums that offered entertainment for all ages. Below are the ten best family activities in Dallas:

1. Sixth Floor Museum

212-747-6660
Dealey Plaza
411 Elm St
Dallas, TX 75202

If you were ever curious about the life and assassination of President John F Kennedy this is the museum to come to. It is located on the sixth and seventh floor of the historic Texas School Book Depository building which was the building of focus during the world shock assassination of JFK. The museum has created exhibits that will increase your knowledge of the life, death, and legacy of President John F Kennedy.

2. Dallas Museum of Art

214-922-1200
1717 N Harwood St
Dallas, TX 75201

This museum fosters a sense of art appreciation presenting to the people the highest quality of art from over many centuries including the present and from diverse cultures. One fun game the museum encourages you to play throughout your experience here is the name game, what you do is study a piece of art without looking at its title and you come up with a name you would give the piece, then look at what the artist called it and see if it changes your view.

3. Dallas Zoo

214-670-5656
650 S R L Thornton Freeway
Dallas, TX 75203

As in many major cities a big family attraction is the zoo and Dallas is no different. It is actually the largest zoological experience in the state of Texas with 95 acres to scout, thousands of animals to see and a wide range of family activities to partake in.

5. Medieval Times Dinner Show

214-761-1800
2021 N Stemmons Fwy
Dallas, TX 75207

Allow your family to experience the 11th century at this unique dinner attraction.  The idea here is we as the guests have been invited by the royal families to a feast and festival where we are allowed to watch knights compete on horseback as well as watch a medieval story unfold. Medieval Times does a great job of accurately portraying weapons and costumes of this time period.
